Renowned chef Pierre Carrier reigns over the Albert I restaurant and the Maison Carrier - a man who loves his work, his valley and the people who live in it. He draws his inspiration from seasonal products and traditional Piedmontese influences (his Piedmont-style gnocchi with Alba truffles are just one example), a reminder that Chamonix was part of Piedmont until 1860.
Today, besides the historic Railroad "Pension" building, this Relais & Châteaux property includes three luxurious farms and mountain chalets. A must is the pale wood spa with its immense bay window that provides an oversized vista of Mont Blanc, a turquoise blue indoor-outdoor pool, and personal treatments provided by a massage therapist or esthetician… On the gastronomic side, depending on your mood you can choose between the renowned Albert I, which boasts two Michelin stars, and the Maison Carrier, a warm and welcoming table that recreates the atmosphere of a farm in the country.
