In the heights of Aveyron, east of Cahors, the Marcillac appellation of 170 hectares is home to the fer servadou (mansoï) grape. This uniquely regional grape variety makes tasty and elegant wines, with delicate spicy notes and a pleasant tannic freshness. Marcillac received AOC status in 1990.
