Definition
Ugni Blanc is a widespread grape variety. It is present in numerous regions of southern France. Under the name "Saint-Emilion" it's the predominant grape in Cognac. It is also used for its freshness in Languedoc, Provence and Corsica.
Ugni Blanc is the base for numerous dry white wines. The variety is present in most dry Italian whites.
