Pecan pie Recipe

Total time: 30 to 60 minutes
Preheat oven at 180°C / 350°F
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 50 minutes

Ingredients
Makes a 9-inch pie or 16 individual tarts
- 3 extra large eggs or 4 medium eggs
- 250 ml / 1 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
- 250 ml / 1 cup Dark or Light Corn Syrup
- 65 ml / 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 500 ml / 2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
- 1 small pinch of salt
- 1 unbaked pie shell or 16 individual tart shells
Method
- Beat the eggs until frothy. Add the other ingredients - pecans and melter butter at the end.
- Pour the mixture in the unbaked pie shell and bake in a preheated 350° F. / 180°C oven for 40-45 minutes.
- Chill before serving with whipped cream.
