Spiced Plum Crumble Recipe
Ingredients
- 600 g (1 lb. 5 oz.) plums, such as Reine-Claude
- 160 g (6 oz.) butter
- 4 Tbsp. honey
- 100 g (1/2 cup) sugar
- 100 g (3 1/2 oz.) powdered almonds
- 100 g (1 cup) flour
- cinnamon and cardamom
Method
- Wash and pit the plums.
- Heat 40 g (3 Tbsp.) butter in a skillet. When it is lightly browned, add the plums. Sauté them briefly then add the honey, cardamom and cinnamon.
- Combine the sugar, flour and powdered almonds with the remaining butter. Bake in a 180° C (350° F) oven.
- Place the plums into ovenproof ramekins and sprinkle the hot crumble over top. Once it is browned, remove from the oven. Serve warm.
