Chef's Note
"Pot en pot" is a savory recipe of seafood or fish and potatoes in pastry.
Ingredients for 4 servings
- 450 g (1 lb.) Scallops
- 6 Potatoes
- 1 onion
- Salt and pepper
- Butter
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 200 ml (3/4 cup) shortening
- 500 ml (2 cups) flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- Enough water to make a firm dough
  1. Roll out the pastry and line the bottom of a baking dish, reserving enough pastry for a top crust.
  2. Place the 6 thinly sliced potatoes into the crust with the cut up scallops or other seafood.
  3. Sauté the onion in a little butter or oil and spread over the other ingredients.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and add the water. Cover with the top pastry crust and bake at 160° C (325° F).
