Though this is a simple recipe, it's a classic of France's Vendée region, best sampled there if you happen to be passing through!
Ingredients
Ingredients for 4 servings
- 4 thick Ham from the Vendée slices
- White kidney beans
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 onion
- Bouquet garni
- Salt, pepper, oil
Method
- On a hot grill or skillet, grill the lightly oiled ham slices for a few seconds on each side.
- In a small saucepan, simmer the beans with garlic, onion and the bouquet garni. Season with salt and pepper. Serve on hot plates.
