This beautiful hotel is a haven of tranquillity, surrounded by a forest of umbrella pines, eucalyptus and palm trees leading directly onto a private beach and facing the old town of Porto Vecchio. The recently refurbished rooms built in a pavilion style are bright, airy and reflect the character of Corsica with hues of blue, green and terracotta. Each has its own terrace. A walk through the gardens will bring you to the superb panoramic pool where, once you've had a dip, you can lie on a sunlounger and dream the day away or ease your muscles in one of the heated hydro-massage baths. Peacefulness is maintained by the hotel's sensible rule that no mobile phones are permitted in the public areas.
Local materials and a savoir-faire Corse have been used to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the bar, restaurant and communal areas. You'll find wood beamed ceilings, natural stone walls, quarry stone tiled floors, mosaic tables, wrought iron candelabras and wood carved chairs and ornaments.

The hotel offers a grill or a gastronomic restaurant to choose from in the evening. In the main restaurant the head chef uses local seasonal ingredients to offer a menu filled with colour, flavour and tradition. From June to October the grill 'Mari è Tarra' offers simple barbecued local meats such as lamb, kid and pork along with the day's catch of fish and shellfish. The tables are on a terrace right next to the sea which is subtly lit so the magnificent sunsets over the peaks of the Alta Rocca can be appreciated. Even after the sun has set the view is worth staying for as the lights of Porto Vecchio citadel can be seen twinkling across the bay. The main restaurant stays open throughout the day so you may eat at the hour which best suits you and will cater for room service so you may even dine on your own private terrace.

For those who may wish to leave the idyllic setting of the Belvédère there is plenty to explore in the surrounding area. Famous Palombaggia beach is only a ten minute drive away, with its pristine white sand and clear turquoise waters; alternatively a foray up into the Bavella massif proves a worthy day out if only to stop on the road winding up at Ospedale to view Porto Vecchio and its glorious bays from on high.
