The big party that welcomes the arrival of fall is inextricably linked with Munich, because Oktoberfest was born here. Beer, sausage, sauerkraut and high spirits!
The Oktoberfest is back from September 19th to October 4rd.
September 12 - Washington State
The State of Bliss - A unique style of cooking, termed "Pacific Northwest cuisine," has grown up all through Washington State. Now is the season for apples and grapes. Stop at Grayland for the clams, Olympia for the little oysters, and Pike Place Market in Seattle for the fish market.
