Storing
Store your Abondance away from light, wrapped in food-grade paper (aluminium foil, greaseproof paper, etc.) - but avoid plastic film.
The perfect temperature for keeping your Abondance cheese fresh is in the salad drawer at the bottom of your fridge.
Preparing
To enjoy the aromas of Abondance at their most subtle and sophisticated, take the cheese out of your fridge and place it on a cheese dish at least half an hour before serving.
Savouring
Enjoy Abondance straight off the tip of a knife. Otherwise it is delicious diced up in a salad or melted in a Berthoud (a traditional fondue dish from the Chablais region of Savoy) or in the fondue savoyarde.
