There's no need for kneading with banana bread.
Chiquita knows bananas, so when the brand published a recipe for microwavable banana bread, we take notice. Did someone say microwave? Now, that’s what we call quick bread!

How do you make this banana bread?
You’ve probably heard of mug cakes, so you get the idea. You only need to mash banana, blend all ingredients, divide the mix between two mugs. Just microwave for a few minutes—and voila—nearly instant banana bread!

Ingredients
For 2 servings

- 1 ripe banana + 1/2 banana for topping
- 4 Tbsp. wheat flour or white flour
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/4 Tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 Tsp. baking soda
- Butter for mugs
Method

Step 1: Prep the mugs
Generously lightly coat the mugs with melted butter. 

Step 2: Prep your bananas
Using a fork, mash the ripe banana in a bowl. Then, cut your remaining half banana in slices.

Step 3: Make the batter
Mix the egg, baking soda, baking powder, brown sugar, vegetable oil and wheat flour with the mashed banana. Then, spoon the batter into the mugs.

Step 4 : Cooking
Pop into the microwave for up to 2 minutes and check after 60 seconds for doneness.

Step 5
Garnish with two pieces of Chiquita banana and serve.
