Chef's Note

You can decorate the cake with flaked almonds and add a few drops of almond extract to the batter.

For a cake that is lower in fat, use a low-fat or skim yogurt.

- 2 eggs
- 1 - 100 g container of plain yogurt
- 1 1/2 yogurt containers of sugar
- 3 yogurt containers of flour
- 1 packet of baking powder or 2 tsp.
- 1/2 yogurt container of oil
- 2 pears
- 2 plums
- some blackberries or blueberries
- butter for the pan
  1. Prepare the batter: in a bowl, combine the yogurt, eggs and oil. Add the sugar, flour and baking powder.
  2. Peel and core the pears, peel and pit the plums. Cut the fruit coarsely and mix into the batter.
  3. Butter a pan and pour in the batter.
  4. Bake for about 40 minutes in a preheated 220° C (450° F) oven. Insert a toothpick or knife blade into the center to check for doneness: it should come out clean. Cool the cake before unmolding.
