Fresh, high-quality ingredients will ensure a delicious salad that is very easy to make.

In Germany it's served with radishes and slices of buttered country bread sprinkled with chopped chives.

Saisonküche from German-speaking Switzerland, recommends adding some sliced long radishes and strips of Gruyere cheese to the salad.

For 4 servings

- 2 smoked cervelat sausages
- 2 onions
- a few sweet-sour pickles

- 8 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. sunflower oil
- salt and pepper
- a pinch of sugar

- sliced bread
- radish
- butter
- chives
  1. Dissolve the sugar in the vinegar with the salt and pepper; whisk in the oil to combine well.
  2. Skin and slice the sausages.
  3. Slice the onions and pickles.
  4. Combine everything and marinate for about 1 hour before serving.
