1. Place three strawberry halves in a cocktail shaker and add the maple syrup and lemon juice.
2. Crush with a muddler.
3. Add the ice cubes and vodka.
4. Shake vigorously for a few seconds, then strain the cocktail into a champagne flute.
5. Fill the glass with sparkling water.
6. Garnish with a strawberry half.
