Crispy Peach Tartine Recipe

Ingredients
Ingredients for 4 servings
- 2 ripe Peaches
- 4 slices of day-old bread
- Butter
- Sugar
- 500 ml (2 cups) vanilla ice cream
Method
- Butter a baking dish. Butter the bread slices and lay them in the dish.
- Preheat the oven to 220° C (425° F)
- Gently peel, halve and pit the peaches. Place a peach half on each bread slice, cavity side up.
- Sprinkle the peach with sugar, particularly the cavity.
- Place in the oven; keep a watchful eye on the peaches as they cook. The juice from the peaches will soak into the bread, make it crispy and slightly caramelized.
- Place one tartine on each serving plate, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste.
