Masala peanuts are a savoury snack and a crunchy little piece of happiness! Every bit of it will take your food experience up by a notch!
Masala peanuts is an easy snack recipe that can be rustled up in minutes. An ideal accompaniment with drinks and tea, Masala Peanuts can be made with basic ingredients and can be stored in air-tight containers for over a week. You can also add some chopped onions and green chillies before serving to give that special touch.
Ingredients
For 1 cup
- 1 cup raw peanuts
- 2 Tsp. refined oil
- 2 Tbsp. gram flour (besan)
- 2 Tbsp. rice flour
- Salt as required
- 3 pinches red chilli powder
- 1 pinch asafoetida
Method
- In a bowl, add the spices to the peanuts. Mix.
- Sprinkle some water over the peanuts.
- Add rice flour, gram flour and refined oil. Mix.
- Transfer to a microwave-safe bowl and run on high for 2 minutes. Allow it to cool down. Run for 1 minute again if the peanuts have not turned crunchy.
- Serve with chopped onions and green chilllies.
