Fried Hung Curd Peanuts

Chef's Note

A delicious snack recipe easy-to-prepare. Made using peanuts, hung curd, corn flour and spices, this North Indian recipe is best enjoyed in parties. Serve it with a green chutney in the pure tradition way.

(1) Hung curd can be replaced by greek yogurt.

Ingredients
For 8 servings

- 250 g raw peanuts
- 2 pinches garam masala powder
- 250 ml / 1 cup refined oil
- Salt as required
- 1 Tbsp. corn flour
- 2 cups water

For The Main Dish
- 1 cup hung curd
Method
  1. Soak peanuts in water for 2 hours. Remove the outer cover and keep aside.
  2. Add hung curd, garam masala along with salt and mix well. Leave it to dry for around one hour.
  3. Dust the peanuts with some corn flour.
  4. Put a kadahi on medium flame and heat oil in it. Carefully put peanuts in the hot oil and deep-fry in batches.
  5. Serve hit with green chutney.
