Tarte Liégeoise - Belgian Fruit Pie Recipe

- 200 g (7 oz,) sugar + more as needed
- 300 g (10 oz.) pie pastry
- 500 g (18 oz.) fruit (apples, cherries, plums)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp. flour
- A pinch of cinnamon
  1. Roll out the pastry and line a pie plate;
  2. brush the pastry with beaten egg combined with a pinch of cinnamon and a little sugar;
  3. pit the cherries and plums, core the apples; place the peeled coarsely chopped fruits in a bowl; sprinkle with sugar, flour and cinnamon, mix well and place into the pastry;
  4. bake in a preheated 180° C (350° F) oven for about 30 minutes;
  5. serve cold, sprinkled with sugar.
