For 6 servings

- 1.5 liters (6 cups) sliced peeled apples
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) sifted all-purpose flour
- 160 ml (3/4 cup) oatmeal
- 250 ml (1 cup) brown sugar
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) butter
  1. Place the apples in a buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with the lemon juice.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, oatmeal and sugar.
  3. Rub in the butter with your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apples.
  5. Bake in a 190° C (375° F) oven for 35-40 minutes.
