Ingredients
For 4 servings

Burgers
- 450 g (1 lb.) ground beef
- 125 g (4 oz.) grated provolone, asiago or mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp. finely chopped basil
- 3 Tbsp. finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes
- 4 Tbsp. bacon bits
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper to taste

Toppings
- 4 thin slices of red onion
- 4 slices of tomato
- spring mix
- mayonnaise

Buns
- 4 burger buns, focaccia or ciabatta
- olive oil
Method
  1. Preheat the barbecue to medium.
  2. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the burgers. Divide into 4 equal portions and form into patties.
  3. Grill on the barbecue for 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature is 170° C (77° C).
