A quick look at chicory
100% natural, with many benefits, chicory is a healthy balanced drink: a wellness alternative to reduce your caffeine intake.
Available in granules, ground and soluble, here chicory finds its way into your recipes in liquid form.
The little extra: chicory adds a nice golden caramel color to pancakes.
Ingredients
For 20 pancakes
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 60 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 200 ml / 4/5 cup milk
- 50 ml / 1/5 cup Leroux® liquid chicory
- 100 ml / 2/5 cup oil
- 185 g white flour
Method
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and sugars.
- Add the eggs.
- Pour in the oil, milk and liquid chicory.
- Stir all the ingredients together until smooth.
- Cook the pancakes in a skillet on medium heat. Once bubbles form on the surface, flip the pancake and cook a few minutes longer on the other side.
