Fried rice

Ingredients
For 4 servings

- 500 ml / 2 cups cooked rice , steamed
- 1/2 carrot, cooked
- 45 ml / 3 Tbsp. green peas
- 5 ml / 1 Tsp. sesame oil
- 30 ml / 2 Tbsp. peanut or vegetable oil
- 30 ml / 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- pepper
Method
  1. Heat a wok or frying pan and add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
  2. Add the rice. Stir-fry for a few minutes, using chopsticks or a wooden spoon to break it apart.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce as desired.
  4. Add the chopped carrot, the green peas, the sesame oil and the black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes. Sprinkle with the chopped green onion (white and green parts). Serve hot.
