Ginger Juice Recipe
Chef's Note
A refreshing and invigorating drink, ginger juice is very popular in Africa and Asia where it is reputed to have therapeutic and aphrodisiac properties.
Ingredients
- 500 g fresh ginger
- 300 g sugar
- 3 packets vanilla sugar
- 3 slices of pineapple
- 2 Tbsp. orange blossom water
- 1 pinch of grated nutmeg
- 2 limes
Method
- In a blender, combine the ginger, pineapple and lemon juice.
- Add water to obtain a smooth texture as desired; juice or nectar.
- Strain.
- Add the sugar and mix well until dissolved.
- Serve well chilled.
