Chef's Note
If you're not familiar with sesame oil, it's an oil with a very distinctive flavor that is used sparingly to impart a unique character to Asian dishes. There is no real substitute.
Ingredients for 4 servings
- 500 g (18 oz.) fish fillets
- 2 Kiwis, peeled and quartered
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. toasted Sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp. finely chopped chives
- 2 tsp. soy or vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 2 tsp. minced green pepper or green chili
- Freshly ground black pepper
  1. Cut the fish into 4 portions;
  2. combine the soy sauce, sesame seeds, chives, pepper and sesame oil in a bowl;
  3. dip the fillets in this mixture and cook in a non-stick pan in a little oil for approximately 2 minutes on each side;
  4. transfer the fish to a plate; sear the kiwi wedges for a few seconds in the same pan; place on top of the fish and serve immediately.
