Layered Sandwiches Recipe

Ingredients
Ingredients for 10 pieces
- 100 g (3 1/2 oz.) hard boiled egg (1)
- 250 g (9 oz.) garlic or herb butter, softened
- 30 large slices of sandwich bread (about 450 g / 1 lb.)
- 75 g (2 1/2 oz.) ground hazelnuts
- 20 g (2/3 oz.) finely chopped parsley
- 5 slices of ham (100 g / 3 1/2 oz.)
Method
- Peel the eggs, chop them finely and combine with 80 g (1/3 cup) butter. Spread on 10 slices of bread and cover with 10 others.
- Butter 5 slices of bread, cover with ham, then the remaining bread. Butter the edges of all the sandwiches. Dip the two opposite sides in hazelnuts and the other sides in parsley. Cut the sandwiches on the diagonal.
- Layer one egg sandwich, one ham and one egg, and fix in place with a pick.
