Open-Faced Dry Sausage and Fig Sandwich

Ingredients for 4 servings
- 32 slices of Dry Sausage
- 4 slices of country bread
- 1 onion, halved
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 4 arugula leaves
- 4 Belgian Endive leaves
- 16 Nut halves
- 4 Figs
- 1 bunch of grapes
- Coarse salt and pepper
  1. Brush the bread slices lightly with olive oil;
  2. rub with the halved onion (a little trick to provide flavor without the disadvantages!);
  3. onto each slice of bread, place an arugula and endive leaf, 8 slices of dry sausage, 4 walnut halves, a quartered fig and a few grapes;
  4. give each sandwich a grinding of coarse salt and fresh pepper; serve immediately.
