Adding little candy pearls transforms your cupcakes into delicious treats for a special occasion, whether the holiday season or a wedding.

For 24 cupcakes

- 375 g flour
- 15 ml baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 125 ml unsalted butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 big eggs
- 1 orange - finely grated
- 250 ml milk

- 225 g cream cheese
- 60 g butter
- 15 ml milk
- 5 ml vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 180°F / 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. In an other bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  4. Mix in the eggs one at a time.
  5. Add the dry ingredients (1) and milk - it's important to proceed by small amounts, alternating wet and dry ingredients. Combine until smooth.
  6. Incorporate orange zest.
  7. Pour into buttered floured tins or lined 24 muffin cups with paper; bake for about 20 minutes at 180° C (350° F). Let cool completely.


  1. Beat all ingredients together until combined. Use immediately.
