Shashlik, Hungarian shishkebabs

- Cubes of mutton, Pork or veal
- Melted butter
- Shallots or green onions
- 250 g (9 oz.) minced onion
- 150 ml (10 tbsp.) white vinegar
- Chopped parsley and celery leaves
- Salt, pepper, paprika
  1. Marinate a filet of mutton, pork or veal which has been cut into cubes (2 to 3 cm per side) in a glass or stoneware dish in the marinade for three hours;
  2. assemble the skewers, alternating cubes of meat with rings of green onion, grill for about 5 minutes; turn the skewers and continue cooking for another 5 minutes;
  3. brush with melted butter; serve with white rice and sliced tomatoes.
