Walnut Spinach Dip Recipe

Chef's Note
Stick to your healthy eating regimen with iron-rich walnut spinach dip made with low-fat yogurt, crumbled walnuts and chopped spinach. Serve with fresh cut vegetables and whole grain crackers for a filling afternoon snack or eye-catching appetizer.
Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to one week.
Use as a garnish on baked or roasted potatoes or as a spread on turkey sandwiches.
Ingredients
For 625 ml / 2-1/2 cups
- 300 g chopped spinach
- 250 g pressed cottage cheese
- 250 ml / 1 cup California walnut pieces, toasted
- 150 ml / 2/3 cup low fat plain yogurt
- 3 tbsp freshly chopped dill
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 1 tsp celery salt
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 1/2 tsp minced onion or green onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with fresh vegetables, crackers or a bread bowl.
