For 17 years now this Montreal mid-winter Festival has been steaming with typical Latin intensity, offering a soothing balm against the chill. Already renowned throughout North America as a diner's paradise, the festival will this year host some of the world's finest chefs, serving up their pièces de résistance over 17 nights of gastronomic celebration.
Shenzhen, grand featured Chinese city
A rapidly growing city of immigrants, Shenzhen unites the gastronomical traditions of all the regions of China,honorably representing the eight great culinary traditions of the country. Its abundant natural resources make it an especially opportune location for Cantonese cuisine. Overflowing with colours, flavours, aromas and textures, this is a cuisine that changes with the shifting seasons. To offer us the best possible overview, MEL welcomes Anthony Dong, of the Futian Shangri-La in Shenzhen, who will present his Honorary President’s Dinners in the Renoir Restaurant, Sofitel Montréal, along with chefs Ruitian Yu of the Westin Shenzhen Nanshan hosted by Chez Chine (Holiday Inn Downtown), Mark Wu of the Grand Mercure Shenzhen Oriental Ginza hosted by Europea, and Scott Xu of the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen hosted by Toqué!
Boston, featured American city
Located at the junction of pastureland and sea, the city of Boston is a fertile source of gastronomic offerings. Unveiling the many facets of its fine dining, we welcome Tim Cushman, O Ya Restaurant (hosted by Maison Boulud), Tru Lang, Journeyman (Laurie Raphaël), Barbara Lynch, Menton (Pullman), Tim Maslow, Ribelle (État-Major), Jeremy Sewall, ROW34 (Verses), Lydia Shire, Scampo (Le Saint-Gabriel), Ana Sortun, Oleana Restaurant (Graziella) and Gregory Torrech, The Beehive (Alexandre et fils).
Laval, Québécois region to discover
Just north of Montreal lies another island bursting with culinary treasures. With its passionate chefs and diverse flavours, Laval has what it takes to surprise you. Our Finest Tables welcome chefs Richard Bastien, Le Mitoyen (hosted by Bistro Laurentien La Coupole), Vincent Raffin, Pâtisserie chocolaterie Raffin (Les Cons Servent) and Jonathan Ranger, Le 20 (EVOO), here to introduce us to the unique qualities of the Laval region. You can also enjoy products from 10 Laval specialty producers and transformers on the mezzanine of Jean-Talon Market and attend workshops hosted by Jean-Paul Grappe, chef-advisor to the festival, as well as 9 culinary masters from our guest region. Saturday, February 20, and Sunday, February 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you loved the Les Chefs! show on Radio-Canada – and we know you did! – then you’ll love this: the 4 finalists of the 2015 edition will once again call on their imagination and daring to create 12 culinary creations based on Québec cheeses (fromages d'ici) for 400 guest-judges.
And that’s not all! On top of these epicurean delights, enjoy The Festival of Quebec Cheeses, back for a 10th edition, once again offering fans the opportunity to meet Québec cheesemakers, whose diverse and exceptionally high-quality products never cease to impress.
