Barbequed Curried Chicken Burgers with Yogurt Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
For 4 servings
Chicken Burgers
- 450 g / 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 French shallot or green onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) ground turmeric
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) curry powder
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) fresh (cilantro), cho (cilantro), chopped
- A small drizzle of olive oil
- salt and pepper
Yogourt Sauce
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) fresh ginger, grated
- 1 1/2 tbsp (22 mL) maple syrup
- Juice and finely grated zest of one lime
- 1 1/4 cup (310 mL) plain Greek yogurt
Method
Yogurt Sauce:
- Stir all sauce ingredients together in a bowl. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.
Patties and cooking
- In another bowl, combine chicken with remaining ingredients.
- Lightly oil hands and form 4 patties.
- Oil patties and season surface.
- Barbecue 12 to 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
