Green Morning Smoothy with Chicory

Chef's Note

Get a jolt of energy and fiber from this smoothy. Spinach increases the content of vitamins and minerals (especially iron), while the chicory promotes digestion and boosts your metabolism. 

Ingredients
For 2 servings (350 - 400 mL)

- 250 mL/ 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 banana
- 80 g tart and sweet apple, Granny Smith or Fuji type
- 40 g baby spinach
- 1 1/2 tsp. Leroux liquid chicory

Optional:
- 1 or 2 ice cubes
- 1 tsp. honey or agave syrup
Method
  1. Cut the banana into thick slices.
  2. Peel and cut up the apple.
  3. Place all the ingredients into a blender.
  4. Blend until smooth.

Enjoy immediately.
