In Louisiana, praline sauce is served on ice cream, cheesecake, pound cake, pancakes, French toast, waffles, biscuits, etc.
Ingredients
Ingredients (approximate)
- 500 ml (2 cups) light corn syrup
- 500 ml (2 cups) dark corn syrup
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) cane syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 250 ml (1 cup) coarsely chopped Pecans
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) sugar
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) water
Method
- place all the ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil;
- reduce the heat to low; once the granulated sugar has dissolved, remove the sauce from the heat and let cool;
- use immediately, seal in jars or refrigerate.
