Vanillekipferl - Vanilla Crescents Recipe

Store the cookies in an airtight tin.
Ingredients
For about 4 dozen cookies
- 150 g (5 oz.) butter
- 50 g (2 oz.) icing sugar
- 210 g (7 oz.) flour
- 75 g (3 oz.) powdered walnuts
- 1 egg
- For decorating: powdered vanilla, icing sugar
Method
- Knead all the ingredients together, then let the dough rest in the refrigerator for one hour. Form into small crescent shapes and place on parchment paper.
- Bake at 140-150° C (300° F) for about 10 minutes (they should be very lightly browned). Gently roll the hot crescents in the mixture of powdered vanilla and icing sugar.
