Chef's Note

Store the cookies in an airtight tin.

For about 4 dozen cookies

- 150 g (5 oz.) butter
- 50 g (2 oz.) icing sugar
- 210 g (7 oz.) flour
- 75 g (3 oz.) powdered walnuts
- 1 egg
- For decorating: powdered vanilla, icing sugar
  1. Knead all the ingredients together, then let the dough rest in the refrigerator for one hour. Form into small crescent shapes and place on parchment paper.
  2. Bake at 140-150° C (300° F) for about 10 minutes (they should be very lightly browned). Gently roll the hot crescents in the mixture of powdered vanilla and icing sugar.
