A dipping sauce to accompany spring rolls

For 2-4 servings

- 5 tbsp. Indonesian sweet Soy Sauce or Soya Sauce
- 5 tbsp. chicken stock
- 3 tbsp. water
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. Chinese tomato or barbecue sauce
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 clove minced garlic
- A pinch of salt
  1. In a small saucepan, heat the soy sauce, stock, sugar, Chinese tomato or barbecue sauce, garlic and salt until the sugar has completely dissolved; 
  2. dissolve the cornstarch in the cold water; add to the pan and simmer, stirring, until slightly thickened.
